Abstract:In this talk, I talk about the zero-viscosity limit of the Navier-Stokes equations in a half space and thin domain with non-slip boundary condition. For the half space case, based on the vorticity formulation and the use of conormal derivative, we develop the energy method to justify the zero-viscosity limit for the analytic data. For thin domain case, we justify the limit when the initial data is convex and belongs to the Gevrey class when the index equals 8/9.
