Abstract:In last fifty years, the infinite-dimensional Lie algebras have played important roles in the other mathematical fields such as combinatorics, number theory, topology, integrable system, vertex algebras, quantum field theory in physic. In the three lectures I am going to address some basic definitions and properties such as constructions, bilinear form, weyl groups, realizations and so on for (affine) Kac-Moody algebras.

3: Weyl groups & Root systems of affine Kac-Moody algebras
4: Loop realizations of affine Kac-moody algebras
5: Integrable modules & Kac-Weyl character formula (If time permits).
