摘要：Let $X/C$ be a smooth projective variety. We explain a folklore conjecture characterizing when a flat connection $(E,/nabla)$ is of geometric origin. We then formulate a Higgs analog of this. An anchoring example will be Riemann surfaces together with their uniformizing flat connection.
