Title: Three New Mathematical Results for Scientific Computations

with direct applications in scientific computations. First, we will
present an image charge method for Poisson and Poisson-Boltzmann
equations in a dielectric sphere and its application in
molecular dynamics simulations of biomolecules. Secondly, we will
present the construction of a new high order hierarchical basis
functions in the Sobolev space H(div) and its application in
imposing exact divergence-free conditions in MHD problems. Thirdly, we
will present a hybrid method of computing the Dirichlet-to-Neumann
mapping of elliptic equations by combining random walk method for
Feynman-Kac formula and a deterministic local boundary element method,
and its application for a parallel solver for projection methods for
incompressible flows.
